Reading Together - Over the course of three sessions, the Reading Together workshops have proved to be very useful for parents of year 3 and 4 children. The workshops gave parents an awareness of vocabulary, comprehension and grammar. In addition, parents explored how to enrich the reading environment at home. Following the course parents said they felt more confident in supporting their child’s reading.
Sharing Maths - A weekly maths based workshop for key stage 1 parents and children was well attended over the course of five weeks. Parents and children found it fun and also productive. The game based workshops emphasised how questions can be used to guide support and stimulate mathematical thinking.
