Volunteers

Over the past few years, we have developed a volunteering programme which is accessed by parents as well as members of the local community.

Volunteer Applications are now being accepted for our Year 1 Reading Programme.

  • Applications normally take 2-3 weeks to process.
  • All applications will be subject to availability within the school setting.

We offer a number of placements across the school for people who need work experience as part of a course of study or just for their own personal development. If your volunteer placement is part of a course you will either have to provide your current DBS which has been issued by your course provider or we may have to levy a charge.

The volunteers work alongside school staff members who act as their ‘mentor’, supporting them within their role as necessary. This has been a very popular and valuable programme with benefits to everyone involved. Some of our volunteers have gone on to get employment either within the school or elsewhere.

If you don't wish to apply online you can fill in this form and return it to our office staff.
