Bringing Engineering into the classroom
The Primary Engineer programme provides fully funded STEM projects for primary and secondary schools in London, engaging pupils and teachers with engineering businesses, skills, and technology. The programme aims to promote engineering careers, develop engineering skills in teachers, and address inequalities in engineering. It uses a project-based learning approach, integrating practical maths, science, creative problem-solving, and literacy, and is often referred to as "STEM by Stealth" due to its integrated curriculum.
Marner entered this year and won the overall award for best structure because of the stability of the design after it was tested.
We were also successful in winning an award for best design idea.
