    The 'Behind the Scenes @ Beauty and the Beast' experience was a real success. The costumes and cardboard creations were truly like no other. A huge thank you to Ms Liber for the creativity, dedication and inspiration she brings to our children - her work continues to make the arts come alive at Marner.

  • Wondermaths Stars

     The Wondermaths winners this year were: Year 4 winners from Motivation Class - Oyon, Adam, Simrah, Luqman, Ayaan. The overall winners with over 400 points were Year 5 Empower Class - Zaid, Issa, Sami, Usaamah.

    The event was very exciting with lots of energy in the room.

  • International Day and workshop

    This year, we’re excited to celebrate International Day at Marner for the very first time!
    We’re planning to explore the counties our pupils' roots are from and learn about their rich heritage. This learning adventure will be held on Thursday 21st May. On this day, we’ll have workshops running all day for families from all year groups to take part in. We will continue this journey onto Friday 22nd May, where we will finish off with a mini gallery, fashion show and a carnival. More details to follow.

    We’re also hosting a special parents workshop on Wednesday 6th May, from 9:00 to 10:30 in the Art room huts. We’d love to hear your ideas for workshops that celebrate your culture. Some ideas we’ve considered include:

    The room was a buzz. Year 4 and 5 took part in the Wondermaths Tournament. Teams competed against each other to complete the tasks set. They communicated well and supported each other through the challenges. They used practical and written methods to resolve the problems.

    Wondermaths Tournament starts again...
     
    It is this time of the year when we not only get some long-awaited sunshine, the blooming of snowdrops, daffodils, magnolias, cherry blossoms and wisteria across parks like St James's and Kew Gardens...BUT the most awaited event of all it is WONDERMATHS TOURNAMENTS SEASON.
    So we are kicking it off with our very own IN-SCHOOL TOURNAMENT this MONDAY 1:40 till home time in our very own MEETING ROOM that has kindly hosted it continuously since 2002, witnessing some incredible maths wizardry!!! Year 4 and 5 children will be put in groups of 5 yet again to go head-to-head in some mind-blowing challenges of the year!

  • A Great Performance!

    The English Touring Opera performance was a great success!

    A big thank you to the amazing actors and musicians and our receptive audience. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance of The English Touring Opera of Ada and the Code Crusader. They joined in with the singing and clapped and booed in all the right places.

    They learnt a little about the first computer programmer, Ada Lovelace.

  • English Touring Opera performance

    The English Touring Opera will be returning to work with KS2 pupils on Monday 20th April on the fun, adventure-fuelled show of Ada and the Code Crusader. The show is designed to be participatory and the children have been practising the songs and learning about the background to the story of Ada Lovelace, who was an English mathematician and writer widely recognised as the world's first computer programmer.

  • Breakfast club is now free.

    Breakfast club is now free.
    If you would like your child to attend breakfast club, please send an 
    email to: enquiries@marner.towerhamlets.sch.uk  , you will be sent an online form to register. The form has also been sent out to parents via Arbor.

    Breakfast club runs every day from 8am- 8:45. We serve breakfast until 8:30.

  • Thank you to our 'Friends of Marner'.

    Friends of Marner led Mr Sam’s farewell and the Eid coffee morning. They had a great turnout with a full room. It was wonderful to see so many parents attend.

    There was also an amazing art session held for parents, which everyone really enjoyed. It was a lovely opportunity for the community to come together.
