Partnering with outside organisations brings immense value to the school community. Managing and maximising these relationships takes consistent, structured communication.
Cherish QMU – Queen Mary's University – project to find out whether short-term exposure to air pollution in school playgrounds affects lung function and the body’s immune response.
Community Neighbourhood Network – Community Neighbourhood Networks in Tower Hamlets provide coordinated support, safety, and engagement, including the Tower Hamlets Community Advice Network (THCAN) for advice, the Tower Hamlets Island Community Network (THICN) for youth safety, and Community Navigation for health resources.
Department of Education (Twinning) – School twinning pilot with NI school.
EastEd - East Education - East Ed (Eastside) is a programme designed for students and educators in London boroughs—Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, and Waltham Forest.
Felix Food Bank – London’s largest food rescue organisation. It collects high-quality surplus food from suppliers, supermarkets, and restaurants that would otherwise go to waste and delivers it free of charge to over 1,200 charities, schools, and food banks to combat hunger.
Gorsefield – (an Essex-based residential learning centre owned by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets) partners with local schools to provide children and families with countryside excursions and outdoor learning opportunities.
Half Moon Theatre – The Limehouse-based children's theatre, partners with Marner Primary School on multiple immersive and community-focused arts programmes.
Healthy Schools London – Mayor of London – The Mayor's Healthy Schools London (HSL) programme is an awards scheme that supports and recognises achievements in child health, wellbeing and development in schools.
Kent and Sussex Railways - K&ESR links with Marner Primary School through the heritage railway’s educational charity. The K&ESR runs community and outreach projects designed to give inner-city children in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets first-hand experience of Britain's transport heritage. Through these projects, students get the opportunity to participate in learning activities, school visits, and Young Engineer days. These programmes allow the children to travel down from East London to Kent to learn how steam engines work and experience historical events like wartime evacuation re-enactments.
Lehman Foundation – The children at Marner SHINE school have had an amazing learning time and experiences over the last few years with the fantastic sponsorship of the Lehman foundation. To continue our partnership and enable the children to continue the Saturday school would be fantastic for all concerned. Not only do the children love it, but the adults too.
LETTA Trust – The LETTA Teaching School Alliance is an outward-facing partnership committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people. Their mission is to train and develop outstanding teachers, support staff and leaders for future generations of children.
Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Youth Schools – is a free, curriculum-linked programme from the Lawn Tennis Association that trains teachers to deliver inclusive tennis lessons to children aged 4–18.
Manorfield Football Training – The "Marner League" is a notable joint initiative where boys and girls teams from both Manorfield Primary School and Marner Primary School compete in regular fixtures and skill-building sessions.
NHS - Vaccination / Compass Nurse – Compass UK Charity Providing Health & Wellbeing Services. The service is school nurse-led to support children, young people and their families in the borough. Compass is for all school-aged children (ages 5 to 19, or up to 25 for individuals with SEND) and their parents/carers.
Phoenix – The Phoenix Satellite provision is a partnership between Marner Primary School and the Phoenix School, where a satellite site is based within the Marner site in Tower Hamlets. Managed by Phoenix School, it provides specialist support for children with SEND within a mainstream setting for up to 18 pupils aged 5–11. Marner and Phoenix work collaboratively to support some of our SEND pupils.
Poplar Partnership – Marner is part of the Poplar Partnership, which is a registered charity and collaborative group of schools and community organisations in Tower Hamlets, London, aimed at supporting local children and young people to reduce the impacts of poverty.
RISE - Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence (DfE): A UK Department for Education (DfE) programme using expert advisers to help schools improve, specifically focusing on schools facing challenges.
Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) – The RHS funding for school gardening.
Stars (TFL) – TfL Travel for Life (formerly known as STARS) is a free accreditation programme that offers a series of free educational programmes (from ages 3 to 17) to schools and education settings across London.
Southbank Centre - Marner were invited by Poplar Harca to be part of the Southbank Centre’s ‘Imagine the Future’ project, which is part of its celebrations of being 75 years since the 1951 Festival of Britain – this project forms part of the celebrations.

Tesco (Groundworks) – Marner Primary School has frequently benefited from the Tesco Stronger Starts grant programme, which is managed in partnership with the community charity Groundwork UK.
Tower Hamlets Arts & Music Education Service (THAMES) – (Art workshops / music / choir) – THAMES is funded by the Department for Education and is a lead partner in the East London Music Alliance (ELMA), the Music Hub for London East.
The School Games – The School Games is a programme which puts physical activity and school sport at the heart of schools, providing young people with the opportunity to learn through physical activity and competition to achieve their personal best.
Tower Hamlets Education Partnership (THEP) is a school-led, not-for-profit charity and company established in 2016 to improve schools, foster collaboration, and enhance education for children in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Tower Hamlets Oracy Hub – (Silver Award) – mission is to transform the learning and life chances of young people through talk so that all children can use their voice for success in school and in life.
Unicef – (Marner has achieved Gold Rights Respecting).
