Saturday - Shine at Gorsefield

What a fantastic day the SHINE children had on Saturday at Gorsfield! Although the weather was very wet and rainy for most of the day, the children took part in every activity with enthusiasm and resilience. The sun even made a brief appearance, which was a lovely bonus!
The children worked brilliantly together in the shelter building activity and created a tent. Their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills were wonderful to see.
They also learnt khow to build and safely light their own campfire before enjoying toasted marshmallows.
During the cordage activity, the children made necklaces and bracelets using ribbons and wooden beads that they created themselves from elderberry twigs. This activity encouraged creativity and perseverance.
The children also had a great time exploring the adventure park and enjoyed taking part in a friendly football match with Mr Jithu and Mr Ruhul making the most of every opportunity while the sun was out.
We were incredibly proud of how well the children conducted themselves throughout the trip. They were safe, sensible and ready to participate in every activity. They listened carefully to the activity leaders and showed them respect at all times.
Despite the rain, the children had an amazing time and represented our school beautifully.
Well done, everyone!
