Apsana Begum is the MP for Poplar. She came to visit Marner on the last day of term 17th October. It was Show Racism the Red Card Day, which we were taking part in and she also wore red. She attended parent coffee morning and presented a slide show to parents about the history of the East End and answered questions.

She then spoke and showed slides on the  Political History of East London to both KS1 and KS2 celebration assemblies. She then met with the School Council and The newly elected Pupil Leadership Team. The school council has been invited by her office for a tour of parliament later in the academic year.
